Over 130 Health Institutions in Bastar Get Quality Certification

From January 2024 to June 2025, more than 130 institutions in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar division—including sub-health centres and PHCs—earned NQAS certification, even in insurgency-affected areas like Sukma and Dantewada.

Simultaneously, over 36,000 Ayushman cards were issued under the "Niyad Nellanar" scheme, covering more than half of the eligible population and distributing Rs 8.22 crore to 6,816 beneficiaries. The government also recruited over 450 health workers, including specialists, to boost local accessibility.

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal emphasized the goal of equitable healthcare, while the Chief Minister lauded the collaborative success in improving access in previously underserved regions.
