As of July 31, Haryana reported 112 confirmed dengue cases, with Gurgaon recording the highest number at 24. Rewari, Panchkula, Karnal, and Jhajjar also saw significant activity.
The state declared all vector-borne diseases notifiable until March 2027. Measures include establishing 27 dengue testing labs, offering free platelets in government facilities, intensive fogging, larval control, and deploying mosquito-eating fish. Additionally, July was designated “anti-dengue month,” with “dry days” to encourage household prevention.
The proactive response is credited with preventing fatalities so far, but health officials stress continued community participation, especially as the monsoon season may see further spikes.
