Rajasthan Signs MoU to Bring Private Diagnostics to Govt Hospitals

The Rajasthan health department has inked a MoU with Telecommunications India Limited and Krishna Diagnostic Limited to operate a ‘hubandspoke’ model of diagnostic services across government facilities. District hospitals will offer up to 145 tests, sub-district hospitals 117, CHCs 101, and primary health centres 66 types of diagnostic services under this initiative.

This public–private partnership aims to bridge gaps in diagnostic capacity, reduce patient waiting periods, and reduce travel burdens for rural populations. Outsourcing to experienced providers promises standardized quality and faster diagnostic turnaround.

Health officials hope to replicate the model nationwide—integrating diagnostics with telemedicine, electronic health records, and follow-up protocols, thus strengthening clinical decision-making in under-equipped public facilities.
